Jennifer Lopez dropped a video trailer for her upcoming Netflix documentary “Halftime” where she relives the heartbreak and Oscars snub of “Hustlers,” and her battle to be taken seriously by the media, her peers, and the respective music and film industries. Lopez also talks about sexism, motherhood and enduring stardom. The film explores her life on and off stage.
The movie title is a nod to JLO entering her 50s and her Super Bowl 54 Halftime show with Shakira on February 2, 2020 in Miami Florida and features footage during her strenuous rehearsals. “I do this to connect with people and make them feel things. I want something real!”
The film is directed by Oscar-nominated Tribeca alum Amanda Micheli of “Vegas Baby”
The Lopez new movie will premiere at opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8 and streaming starts June 14 on Netflix.
At the age of 52 JLO is “just getting started”
Jennifer Lopez posted a video on her YouTube Channel with the caption “I am so excited to share the trailer for my upcoming documentary, HALFTIME. Opening Night at Tribeca | June 8 Globally on Netflix | June 14.”
