Lady Gaga released a new track today titled “Hold My Hand” from the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick movie starring Tom Cruise.
The song was was co-written by Gaga and co-produced by Bloodpop with additional production from Benjamin Rice while the motion picture version features additional production and score by “Axel F” creator Harold Faltermeyer and Hans Zimmer, the legendary composer for the screen. Reports say the song will be featured several time during the movie.
Gaga posted last week on Instagram ” I’ve been working on it for years, perfecting it, trying to make it ours. I wanted to make music into a song where we share our deep need to both be understood and try to understand each other—a longing to be close when we feel so far away and an ability to celebrate life’s heroes. She went on to say “This song is a love letter to the world during and after a very hard time. I’ve wanted you to hear it for so long. And I’m so excited to give it to you on May 3. “Hold My Hand.”
Lady Gaga won an Oscar Awards and scored a #1 Hit with her 2018 song “Shallow” from the movie “A Star Is Born” and I have a feeling this will hit the top of the charts too! Should we just give her the Oscar now?
The Sequel stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman and Ed Harris plus Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer reprise their roles from the first movie.
It’s been a long time coming! The film was supposed to be released in July 2019 but delayed due to allow the production to work out all the complex flight sequences then postponed longer because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Sequel to the 1986 Blockbuster “Top Gun” hits the big screen on May 27 as part of the US Memorial Day Weekend.
The original soundtrack featured iconic tracks including Berlin “You Take My Breath Away,” Kenny Loggins “Danger Zone,” Loverboy “Heaven In Your Eyes” and “Top Gun Anthem” from Harold Faltermeyer.
“Hold My Hand” has an epic feel! So powerful and dramatic and makes me wanna fly!
