45 year old Puerto Rican Reggaeton legend Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez known professionally as Daddy Yankee aka the “King of Reggaeton” announced via social media he is retiring from the music industry but going out with a bang with a new album and a farewell world tour! “AL FIN VEO LA META 🏁 GRACIAS 🐐”
Daddy Yankee said in a statement “Today, I’m announcing my retirement from music by giving you my best production and my best concert tour” He also said “This race, which has been a marathon, finally sees the finish line. Now, I am going to enjoy what all of you have given me. People say that I made this genre worldwide, but it was you who gave me the key to open the doors to make it the biggest in the world.”
Daddy Yankee will kick off his La Última Vuelta World Tour on August 10 in Portland, Oregon and run through December, finishing with a date in Mexico City.
