WILL SMITH REMIXES THE “FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR” THEME SONG IN SUPER BOWL AD

In West Philadelphia born and raised… We all know the words and love it! The original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air series aired for 6 seasons on NBC from 1990-1996 and is still loved through repeats and syndication and streaming services.

The classic theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air got a fresh new remix 32 years later with a some help from Will Smith and a new generation of fans in a Super Bowl 56 commercial. Vincent Peone, the director of the commercial, turned to the fans for his inspiration and fused the talent and creativity of the Bel Air army across the globe to remix the iconic tv theme that recreates the song in a multicultural and mixed media rendition to introduce a new generation to the reimagined series.

Bel-Air Synopsis: Set in modern-day America, Peacock’s new one-hour drama series Bel-Air imagines the beloved sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air through a new, dramatic take on Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. As these two worlds collide, Will reckons with the power of second chances while navigating the conflicts, emotions, and biases of a world far different from the only one he’s ever known.
Bel-Air will debut on Monday, February 14 at 9 pm in Canada on Showcase and stream weekly on STACKTV. The series will premiere in the U.S. on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13 on Peacock.
